Lost Wills
Where the Will is lost it is possible in some cases for us to use a copy of the Will to obtain a grant of probate. In those circumstances this action is likely to be contested by beneficiaries of an earlier Will who will try to show that the later Will was not lost but destroyed by the person making the Will thereby revoking it. We would try to show that the destruction or loss of the Will was not an intentional act of revocation by the person making it. It is essential that we provide the Court with very detailed evidence with supporting witness statements and other documents to prove the lost Will to the satisfaction of the Court.
